A professional wedding photographer will create a fabulous set of photos for you from your wedding day no matter the time of year or weather but as a top 10 winter wedding photographer I am recognised as one of the UK’s best low light wedding photographers and can create wonderful photos by mixing the low ambient winter light and and additional light sources to create the style of light I am looking for that will complement the scene and the mood of each individual photo.
As we both started out our careers as professional photographers in the era of film photography we understand that each image should be carefully crafted as in those days every shot cost money in film and development costs. With a sound grounding in the art of photography we understand the creative process as well as the technical side of things that go into making a great photograph.
Our post production workflow includes taking our RAW files straight from camera and studying each individual one and adjusting for colour correction, tone and contrast and then we move onto our creative editing process in Photoshop to make every photo the best it can be before presenting you with your finished digital images, wall art and fine art wedding album from your London wedding photographer.
For as long as wedding photographers have been documenting weddings there have been different wedding photography packages and prices and as with everything in life you tend to get what you pay for. Our wedding photography prices may not be cheap but we believe our wedding photography is great value. After the cake is eaten and the wedding dress has been boxed up and put in the loft the wedding photos will give you pleasure for years to come and become your very first family heirloom.
Why should you hire a professional wedding photographer?
We have heard so many horror stories over the years form couples who did not hire a professional wedding photographer. People are often let down with the results that a non-professional photographer has produced for them. Couples who have chosen to let a friend do it, or I have a friend with a good camera who wants to get a start in wedding photography. This may help you save money by doing this, but in the long run I can guarantee you will be disappointed with the results. Your photos will be the only lasting thing from your wedding suppliers on your wedding day so why would you compromise on the most important part of your wedding budget.
A good wedding photographer is not expensive they are priceless, if you value your memories and have a keen eye for art then our alternative luxury wedding photography maybe the very thing that you don’t want to miss out on.
As a London wedding photographer we are recommended by many of the very best wedding venues in London and hundreds of happy brides and grooms by choosing us as your wedding photographers you can be assured you are going to have many wonderful wedding photos to look back on in years to come and share with your finders and family. History of London Wedding Photography
The History of London wedding photography, the practice of wedding photography has evolved since photography was first invented in 1826, photography in its infancy was not suited to photographing a wedding day itself as the cameras and lighting need was very bulky and cumbersome as well as slow to use and was only available to the most wealthy in London so any couples wanting a wedding photograph usually as technology in camera equipment advanced over the years couples may have posed for one or two photographs on their wedding day, Wedding albums started to become more common during the 1880’s-1890’s and would include the wedding party in the photographs as well as a shot of all of the wedding gifts given to the couple on the day.
During the first part of the 20th century with he invention of colour photography well to do couples would try out the new fangled colour process but often it was poor quality and unreliable. from the late 1940’s with the appearance of roll film and and compact flashbulbs it heralded a dawn of a new era for photography and wedding photography as we know it today was born, with photographs able to take more than one photo without reloading the film and a light source that they could use at close quarters to light up their subject in any environment. This soon forced the studio photographers to go along and capture the wedding day itself if they didnt want competition from this new challenge from the new “wedding photographers” who no longer needed a studio and bulky lighting but could go along on the wedding day itself at any location and cover the wedding for the bride and groom.
In the 1970’s the present day style of photography had evolved with a more documentary approach to wedding photography and some photographers started to produce creative almost fashion photography look on a couples wedding day. With the advent of digital photography their was an explosion in the creativity and varied styles available for couples looking for alternative styles of wedding photography.
